Tuesdays 4pm pt & 7pm estÂ
via ZOOM! Free to atted, $10 suggested donation to support our teachers.
Yoga Nidra (also known as yogic sleep) is a powerful technique for controlling your body’s relaxation response. Yoga Nidra can be as restorative as sleep, while you remain fully conscious. Giving your mind and body an extra window of deep relaxation offers powerful benefits! Powerful in releasing stress, tension, anxiety and depression! We LOVE it!Â
Yin yoga is amazing for opening up our hearts, calming our nervous systems, and providing a space for the body to deeply relax. It also allows us to recover and nourish ourselves, wash away our fears, and cultivate compassion and love for ourselves.
Practicing Yin is like thanking yourself for being so awesome. It helps us build absolute self-belief and faith in how wonderful we are, each and every day! This practice is a beautiful way for those who have disconnected from their bodies to reconnect in a gentle, compassionate way!
About Shaun:
Shaun’s passion for Yoga began in High School with a duo of Wai Lana VHS. Her practice grew while studying theatre at the University of Vermont where she discovered her physical yoga practice allowed her body and mind to reach full creative potential, on and off the stage. After graduating from UVM Shaun relocated to Los Angeles where she was cradled in the arms of every yogic style under the sun. After her 200 -hour teacher training she craved more knowledge of esoteric and authentic yogic methods and philosophies.  In 2019 Shaun graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Master of Arts in Yoga Studies. During the acquisition of her M.A. Shaun was exposed to a plethora of the yogic texts, practices and studies, including Sanskrit, Buddhism, Jainism and a two- month adventure in India. Shaun’s studies have allowed her to create inclusive, authentic, and rich classes that use ancient and classical yogic texts to support the many practices offered. Through imagination and breath, Shaun offers a well-rounded class to many populations, including the homeless and the incarcerated. Drop into her class for a freeing, creative, and warm practice.
